Abukayak – Kayaks and Innertubes in the Jordan River Park

Safe, relaxed trip on the River Jordan between the trees and lush riverside vegetation, from the Jordan River Park to the Sea of Galilee.

Kayak:

About an hour’s trip in a kayak for a couple or a couple with a child of between 4 and 10 years old.

Innertube:

Gan Garoo – The Australia Park at Kibbutz Nir David

The Australia Park covers an area of about 12,000 square meters with Australian plants and a waterfall and stream. A selection of this continent’s unique animals including koalas, kookaburras, cassowaries, flying foxes and cockatoos, and of course kangaroos – five different species, some of which can be approached and petted. The Gan Hashlosha (Sachne) restaurant nearby specializes in fish and meat dishes (kosher). The site also has a “living maze” created from bushes and plants, boomerang crafting and throwing demonstrations, totem poles in the Aborigine style, and grassy lawns.

Gan Hashlosha National Park(Sachne)

A beautiful park surrounded by nature, for the whole family. The park is landscaped around a spring that provides water from deep underground and forms natural pools divided by waterfalls and bridges. The water temperature is 28 degrees year round. The park contains extensive lawns, picnic areas and lush vegetation, as well as water slides and a children’s game area, a Mediterranean and regional museum, a Stockade and Tower site that shows early pioneer life in the region, an ancient flour mill and a self-service meat restaurant.

Huga Gardens– A Water Park in Nature

The park features a landscape as old as time immemorial, a wide-open space and a natural spring that runs through three swimming pools, each a different depth and surrounded by shaded lawns. Yardenit – Baptism Site on the Jordan River

Yardenit is a baptism site for Christian pilgrims on the Jordan River. A palm-lined boulevard leads to the site and has a “Wall of the Communities,” designed by an Armenian artist from Jerusalem, that describes the baptism in several languages. The visitor center’s design was inspired by ancient motifs and has canal of Jordan River water flowing through it.
